Samantha Cook, B.A. Hons.

Program Coordinator

Samantha has been a part of the Launch team for over 5 years. Since joining in 2020, she has worked with clients and their families delivering direct ABA therapy targeting a range of communication, social, and academic goals. Samantha has experience assisting in social skills development programs as well as specialization in the administration of curricular assessment and intakes. After obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Ottawa, Samantha received employment opportunities in school and camp settings where she helped create and refine inclusive programming strategies for children with developmental disabilities, ADHD, ODD, and mental health diagnoses. Samantha is excited to bring forward her clinical experience within Launch and is committed to providing accessible and comprehensive navigation for families, partners, and communities seeking supports. 

In her free time, Samantha enjoys biking, yoga, and listening to music.

As a settler-owned organization, we are always working on de-colonizing our practices and offering mental health services that reflect a wholistic approach to health and wellness. Our clients come from a variety of backgrounds, and include First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples. We want to do more than make a difference at an individual level: we aspire to support a societal shift in the way that mental health is addressed and cared for, and we believe that a cross-cultural approach, bringing Indigenous worldviews to the forefront, is necessary to help break the system and rebuild it in a way that promotes healthy wellbeing for future generations. We are actively engaged in changing the landscape of mental health care in Ontario, by augmenting (and compensating) the voices and experiences of Indigenous knowledge keepers, and by incorporating Indigenous values and teachings in our program models.
